The hush money trial in New York has ended for today, but David Pecker will have to return to the stand for further cross-examination next time.The defence's Emil Bove revisits the meeting at Trump Tower in August 2015.
Trump's lawyer adds:"It's hard to remember the dates of these things, even when they happen a few months ago, correct?"He is asked when he met separate, federal prosecutors, and Mr Pecker says June, July and August of 2018. The questioning is rapid-fire by Emil Bove. Lots of"Right?" and"correct?" coming from Mr Bove, not allowing Mr Pecker to give more than a"yes" or"no" or"correct" or"right" in response.
He says he purchased the rights to a story about an argument between Mark Wahlberg and his wife, before advising the celebrity's team he would not publish it.Defence lawyer Emil Bove is asking about David Pecker's relationship with Donald Trump.
