Sex-offender registry laws discriminate against mentally ill, court rules

The ruling applies when a person has been found not criminally responsible because of a mental disorder and given an absolute discharge.

It noted that in those cases, the mentally ill have committed no crime but have no way to get off the registries.However, it also ordered immediate removal from the registries of the man who brought the case.

Yea pretty much.... if you are classified as a sex offender you should be under supervision and classified as mentally ill👍

Most everyone who is a sex offender is mentally ill so...

Seems the sex ofenders are getting more justice and rights than the rape victims themselves.
