“I’ve been going to counselling a lot since this has happened,” she said through tears. “I was able to put pieces together that I had blocked out due to coping mechanisms.” The woman described a third assault happening after she was arrested for shoplifting beer with a friend, and a fourth occurring in Regular’s office when she met with him after police had called her in for questioning about a party at her house in which someone had been assaulted.
Sullivan presented the complainant with copies of half a dozen invoices Regular sent to her between 2007 and 2009 in an attempt to collect money owed.“Do you agree that when you told Constable Percey that told you not to worry about the bill, that was completely untrue?” Sullivan asked the complainant.
“If you say his office wasn’t there, it wasn’t there, but I remember being with in a building with Robert Regular that was across the street from CYFS,” the complainant replied.
