Katherine Reay, a bestselling author, and Brittany Butler, a former CIA officer, are teaming up to support Afghan refugees. Reay's latest novel, THE BERLIN LETTERS, is inspired by the true stories of women serving in the CIA's Venona Project. Butler, who has firsthand knowledge of spy recruitment and dismantling terrorist networks, is a staunch advocate for Middle Eastern women's rights and has worked to promote the rights of Afghan women and girls. Both women are now working together to resettle Afghan refugees in their local community.

Katherine Reay is a national bestselling and award-winning author of several novels, including A SHADOW IN MOSCOW and her recent release, THE BERLIN LETTERS, a Cold War spy inspired by the true women serving in the CIA’s top-secret Venona Project. Katherine currently lives outside Chicago with her husband and three dogs, always hoping her three adult children will come visit soon.
