Delivering judgment on the murder case, Justice Ma’aji declared that the confessional and writing statements of the defendant were inconsistently riddled. Reacting to the Judgment, the lead prosecution counsel and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Haruna Isa Dederi expressed satisfaction on the judgment of the court. He said the decision of the court has served the maximum Justice to the family of the victim.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has transmitted a list of fresh commissioner-designates to the state assembly for confirmation. Yusuf had recently issued performance and evaluation of forms to members of the state executive council with a view to drop those with a poor performance rating.
