Civility in politics should be the norm, not the exception, but it increasingly is. The fact that we need initiatives like this is a reminder of just how far we are from where we should be.Politicians often forget – or no longer care – that civility is the road to compromise. We as citizens must demand both.“What if we started a campaign for compromise and a campaign for kindness,” Barrett asked. “And made clear those are the kinds of things we want to see in our institutions.
