An Investigative Police Officer attached to the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Rivers State Police Command, Inspector Stephen Ntibmouwei has testified in a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt about the gruesome murder of a pharmacist in Zaakpo community, Muenalo Sunday.

Inspector Ntibmouwei revealed from the witness box how the defendants, including Confidence Kirinee, also known as General Illa, Precious Mona, Loveday Legah, and Soniabari Sagha, dragged Muenalo Sunday into a forest in Zaapko, where they brutally killed him, cutting off his head and manhood. According to the prosecution witness, after the murder, the suspects took the body parts to Gwara forest, where their shrine was located.

Mona, the second defendant, allegedly collected a ransom of N10,000 from the late pharmacist's family and returned to the forest as instructed by their leader, General Illa. Following the testimony, the trial Judge, Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu, adjourned the case to March 26, 2024, for the continuation of the cross-examination of the prosecution witness. It has been exactly five years since the pharmacist, Sunday, was murdered.
