A petition calling for Brexit to be canceled through the revocation of Article 50 -- the legal process for leaving the European Union -- reached more than 3 million signatures on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the UK Parliament's petitions committee tweeted that the website had crashed and that the rate of signatures was"the highest the site has ever had to deal with." The petition's text reads:"The government repeatedly claims exiting the EU is 'the will of the people'. We need to put a stop to this claim by proving the strength of public support now, for remaining in the EU. A People's Vote may not happen -- so vote now.

Wake up America, the UK government is making it clear they don’t care about democracy or how their citizens vote. Let’s encourage their citizens to fight and make sure it doesn’t happen to us.

Means nothing. Anyone from around the world can vote in these polls.

StopBrexit

17m voted to remain, who cares if even half that number push a web button somewhere?

Do the remainers and their friends at EU have a third chance and a chance after that?

Always have a backup plan to get what you didn’t the first time around. Brexit

Aaaaw, well the actual votes are what matter

Get out while you can ! Brexit

Keep it up!!!

And it doesn’t matter. Over 17 million already voted to leave.

ComRes poll today: • Remain in EU (abandon Brexit) 35% • Leave the EU (by various means) 50% Leave options take a net 15% lead. Biggest in a decade.

Wonder if they will check those signatures against ACTUAL CITIZENS of Great Brittain?

If article 50 is cancelled and 5 million people sign a petition to leave the EU should it be article 50 be triggered again?

Leftists in the US: we need the popular vote now! Leftists in the UK: screw the popular vote, here’s this petition we threw together over a few months time.

Petition, and after? Will this petition change what has been decided? How many petitions have been signed in the world, and few have been realized ... How many petitions have been signed to dismiss Trump, but he is still there. Keep signing, they know what they want.

Over 17 million voted to exit.

More like over 4 million. If you want to announce figures make sure you’re not talking shit.

But 17M plus voted for it!

The only petition that mattered was in 2016 and 17.4m voted for that.

It passes 4 Million and continues to grow 🙂
