Baby Indi Gregory has been at the centre of a court battle over her life support Critically ill baby Indi Gregory has had her life support treatment withdrawn. The move from doctors in Nottingham comes at the end of several rounds of legal battles in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Christian Concern, an organisation that has been supporting the eight-month-old child’s parents Dean Gregory and Claire Staniforth in their efforts to maintain treatment, made the announcement this afternoon.
Mr Justice Peel considered arguments relating to Indi’s end-of-life care at a private online hearing in the Family Division of the High Court on Tuesday. In a written ruling, the judge said he accepted the evidence of specialists, who said she is dying and the treatment she was receiving causes pain and is futile. Her parents disagree with their assessment.
