The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has heard that one of the five men accused of killing Senzo Meyiwa insisted himself to make a confession.

The alleged confession, according to the defence, was not made freely and voluntarily as Ntanzi was assaulted days prior to making the statement.During proceedings, Motlhapeng told the court she interacted with Ntanzi in IsiZulu and English when the suspect made his confession. “When the rights were explained to him and the fact that he was not compelled in any way to make a statement, he said ‘no my sister, I want to speak’,” the witness said.
