Schoolgirl killer Sean Price’s bid for reduced prison time successful

Sean Price represented himself via video link at the Court of Appeal this morning, raising his two middle fingers to the court after he was told he had one year taken off his overall jail sentence. His non-parole period is now 40 years.

Price murdered 17-year-old Vukotic in 2015 in an unprovoked attack, repeatedly stabbing her as she walked in a park near her home in Doncaster, in Melbourne’s north-east. The 34-year-old is still serving a life sentence in jail for the killing, but is also doing time behind bars for breach of supervision order.Price appealed this sentence, claiming that he had been "double punished" for the rape and the breach.

Today, three Court Of Appeal judges agreed with Price, reducing his sentence for the breach down to three years.

Both disgusting and frustrating...😠

Well the activist that fought to have no death penalty will be celebrating and hoping he gets even less jail time.

Should have reduced it by one hour to teach him a lesson.

TBH the system is actually not fair, like how is someone gonna get 5 years for threatening a police officer & this junk gets 1 yr off 🙄🙄wtf!

A judge will drink their red wine tonight, believing his or her days work was of high value, made a positive impact on society and earned their coin. Sean Price is giving the judge some valued feedback here Things need to change

In Asia countries, he wud hv hanged to death long time ago, the only punishment he deserved for killing. What we are seeing here today is the first world country’s dilemma - showing leniency to the monster who killed & raped with zero remorseful, a system I will never understand.
