A victim has told a court she still fears being 'killed or harmed' by Daniel Ben Barnett, who has appealed the severity of a jail sentence he was handed earlier in the year.

Police facts tendered in the local court said Barnett committed the offences between November 2022 and March 2023. "The physical and emotional repercussions that I experience due to these actions impact every aspect of my life."I battle thoughts of self-blame, embarrassment, shame and guilt, terrified daily that I will be harmed or killed, that my children will be left orphaned," the victim said."I will never forget the day when my children asked me, 'Mum, is he going to kill you'.Judge Ellis noted the seriousness of the offending and said it warranted full-time custody.
