The driver of a car that struck and killed two men on the Sunshine Coast had multiple legal prescription drugs in her system when she got behind the wheel, a court has heard.

The court has heard Ms Liddicoat had five prescription medications in her system at the time of the crashWarana woman Kelly Renee Liddicoat has pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous driving causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.

Footage of an interview police had with Ms Liddicoat at the scene of the crash was shown to the court. "From a driving perspective, reduced alertness, reduced attention, concentration, slowing of the brain thought process, reduced and impaired judgement, slow reactions and reflexes and impaired muscle coordination."

He said it was possible for people to develop a tolerance to the drugs and be less prone to side effects after long term use.
