Allianz Stadium demolition to go ahead after NSW government wins court battle

A Sydney community group and local council have lost their last-ditch legal fight against the NSW government's plans to demolish Allianz Stadium.

against Infrastructure NSW in an attempt to stop the planned demolition before the state poll on March 23. They had sought a declaration that the consent for the stadium demolition was invalid and of no effect. Infrastructure NSW's barrister, Sandra Duggan SC, argued during the hearing that the case should be "immune to the political stoush" surrounding the redevelopment.
