Both the girl and teacher have appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court for assault.

In the viral video, Afrikaans teacher Clarissa Venter has a heated exchange of words with the 16-year-old girl. The pupil is seen shoving a desk into her teacher, which eventually leads to her receiving a slap in the face.In a statement issued on behalf of the family, The Chamber of Legal Students says the mother removed her child from the school because she is concerned for her daughter’s wellbeing.The Chamber also claims the school has created an extremely hostile environment.he plans on taking legal action against the school, its school governing body, and the Western Cape Education Department.

Why is the teacher not in jail? Why is the school not taken to task for openly publicly supporting an adult assaulting a minor in school? Do teachers with three degrees slap minors and get to be celebrated in this country? This society will reap what it sow.
