A 26-year-old man was discovered with life-threatening injuries on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the Maxwellton Street area of Paisley around 5.40pm on Sunday evening .

A 26-year-old man was discovered with life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital where his condition was described as critical.Two men, aged 24 and 25, have now been charged in connection with the attempted murder. They were expected to appear in court on July 25. Detective Inspector Nicola Wake said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries, following our earlier appeal.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and I'd encourage anyone with information who hasn't already spoken to police to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 2647 of Sunday, 23 July, 2023.”
