The complaints against National Bureau of Investigation detainee Jad Dera and the six security officers arrested with him have been submitted for resolution, Dera’s lawyer said Thursday.
“Submitted na for resolution ‘yung kasong isinampa na bribery, corruption of public official, infidelity of custody of prisoner, and graft and corruption,” Palad said in an ambush interview.Authorities retrieved cash, firearms, and other contraband from them.In his counter-affidavit, Dera’s camp argued that there is no probable cause to indict Dera for the offense of corruption of public officials.
According to his camp, NBI also failed to prove that the P10,000 cash seized during Dera’s arrest was his “offer, promise, gift, or present.”
