THE Department of Justice is exploring the possibility of using artificial intelligence in profiling travelers as part of the government’s campaign against human trafficking.

Some passengers have also complained of missing their flights or being offloaded due to “excessive” pre-departure questioning of immigration officers. The DOJ earlier said human traffickers have become more creative with their schemes, such as the recruitment of educated, professional tech savvy individuals, who are well-traveled or display the financial capacity for travel, to work in regional call centers engaged in online scamming and other fraudulent activities.
