asda does like to pay staff uses agency so it can sack them!

till work and warehouse work are totally different jobs. If this is the logic they're using then why don't warehouse staff and till workers get parity with asdas IT department workers ?

Sorry but if there are women in the warehouse getting paid the same as male warehouse staff, and blokes on the shop floor getting paid the same as the women, then it is NOT an issue. Different jobs, warehousing often requires specific training, therefore is a different job.

Wow so people doing less physical work now get paid the same as those doing more.

How? Surely any company should be allowed to pay different wages for different jobs

Does that mean they will cut warehouse staffs pay or increase shop workers pay? Much more physical labour involved in warehouse work, they should get paid alot more than they do

Some right idiots on here 😂😂

In response Asda should make them alternate weeks between warehouse & store. They cant complain about being made to do something not in their contract as if the jobs were materially different they wouldn't be entitled to same pay now would they🤔Bed is made, let them lie in it.

both jobs are different so there is going to be a difference in pay, warehouse workers are doing much more physical labour. Will the cleaners pay be made to match too, what about managers. Different jobs different pay.

This is Socialism gone mad. A person should get paid what they are worth, and if they want more get another job. It is a free market, the law should never be involved

📌 freeze the cost of living and pay everyone over the age of 25 £10 per hour as a minimum wage

I bet those security guards (who stand there in place all day) are happy

Yep, they target women, specifically to pay them less.

Could you please confirm which court made the decision was it the EAT or the Court of Appeal.

unitetheunion This is interesting.

I'd love to see the 62yr old women who work on tills load and drag full cages of produce.

Simple solution, deploy the checkout staff and warehouse staff at the start of each shift FORCE the woman to do the same job as the men or fire them.

Hollow victory. In 5 years they'll be replaced by robots and sit there wonder why.
