In explosive evidence, Shane Drumgold SC said a series of "strange events" occurred throughout the case, leading him to believe "federal interference" was involved.

Drumgold appeared to be inferring involvement from Liberal senator and former minister Linda Reynolds.Shane Drumgold SC said a series of "strange events" occurred throughout the case, leading him to believe "federal interference" was involved. "Some of the questions in my mind hypothetically were: was this at the time a government minister exerting pressure through the AFP commissioner onto ACT Policing to make a matter go away?" Drumgold told the inquiry.He replied, "I thought that there were instances to make it possible if not probable".
