OJ Koloti/Gallo ImagesDefence lawyer for two of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, Advocate Sipho Ramosepele, has magnified contradictions between Meyiwa’s close friends Mthokozisi Thwala and Tumelo Madlala regarding a fistfight involving Meyiwa’s then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo and his wife, Mandisa Mkhize, after he was declared dead at Botshelong hospital in Vosloorus.
"About the occurrences at the hospital between the two protagonists involved in the matter being Kelly Khumalo and Mandisa and your testimony that you are adamant that there was no fight between the two… Tumelo Madlala has testified in this court that he was within that domain when the fight happened, the fight was between Kelly Khumalo and Mandisa,” he said.
He also admonished Thwala for not describing the facial features of the second intruder, claiming that his statement only referred to the suspect having dreadlocks.
