And he might be able to get to the courthouse by 2:30 p.m.,” Baird said.“It’s not going to make any difference,” Bacon said. “I’m ready to do whatever the court wants to do.” An agreed statement of fact has been prepared. Crown and defence lawyers are expected to make a joint submission.Bacon was initially charged with first-degree murder of the teen he called his “Dearest Baby Bird” and “the most precious person he has ever known.” He reported her disappearance to Nanaimo RCMP.
