But opposition to the reform shows no signs of abating, with protests already underway across France on Friday and union leaders and opposition lawmakers vowing even before the ruling to continue their fight.Macron’s government used executive powers to push the bill through last month without a vote in the lower house of parliament, a move that critics decried as presidential overreach and that fueled widespread opposition to the reform.
