"I think it is a national security threat," Warner said on CNBC, adding that the bill would give Raimondo "the ability to do a series of mitigation up to and including banning" TikTok and other technologies that pose national security risks. Instead of banning TikTok, we should have privacy laws that would prohibit the type of data collection that the US is worried about China doing. But they won’t do that because they want American companies to be able to spy on us.
