Railroads like the one involved in last month's fiery crash and toxic chemical release in Ohio would be subject to a series of new federal safety regulations and financial consequences under legislation being introduced by the state's two U.S. senators.

Infrastructure improvements, right?

In light of the Columbus, Ohio train wreck a rare bipartisan rail safety bill is being introduced. I do wonder how many of the EPA and rail safety regulations rolled back by tRump will be reinstated. Specifically enhanced train brake safety was rolled back by tRump admin.

This is what needs to happen. Laws, through the legislative branch, to limit dangerous activities.

Think of what all that money we have sent to Ukraine/Iraq/Afghanistan would of done for our infrastructure?

What financial ties does Mitch Daniels have to the IN landfill getting the soil from this accident? Is it direct or just a donor?

Yeah now they’re all about safety and the environment.

Obama already had policy in place.

Maybe undoing rail regulations a few years ago was a bad idea. *shocker*
