This is President Cyril Ramaphosa’s view on the explosive allegations of gross corruption at Eskom laid bare by De Ruyter in a TV interview last week.
He was responding to media questions during a state visit by his Ugandan counterpart, President Yoweri Museveni, at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Tuesday. This comes after an interview De Ruyter had with eNCA in which he laid bare the inner workings at Eskom and criminality involving senior ANC members.
“At times when we just impart information to an individual, they do not have the wherewithal, power or muscle to investigate. So in his case it’s a missed opportunity and I also call on him to come forward to those institutions and report whatever he knows so that the investigative process can commence.
The cops will do nothing.
JvanLogg Yes - we can sit on our hands and refrain from stopping the corruption - we get the message
I think he knows what's going to happen and you also know that nothing is going to come out of it🤷
JvanLogg And there we have it.If you didn't know it already, now you do. CyrilRamaphosa feels nothing for the average South African. It's ALL about the terrorist corrupt MYANC & how they can milk the taxpayer. If he cared, he would have acted more positively and less challenging.
JvanLogg You Sir, and your minister, should have joined hands with de Ruiter and walked to the Cops together!
Sure.. Coz we protect whistleblowers here..
Oh the double standards! 😀 * Like he went to the cops when his sofa was raided? * Like Fikile went to the cops when the Guptas offered him a puppet ministerial post? * Like 'join the dots' Pravin went to cops after that press conference?
De Ruyter is not the complainant. He has suffered no injury or personal prejudice due to the alleged crimes. And besides he no longer works for Eskom. How can he open a case on behalf of Eskom? Stop fooling us Mr President.
How can he go to the police now that he is no longer an employee of Eskom? He is not the complainant. The complainant is Eskom, the corporate body. There are authorised people in Eskom who can use the same forensic reports and open the case. What's stopping them Mr President ?
Corrupt cops, broken justice system. Yah right you clown.
Quite pointless because our Keystone Cops will 'laager' and invoke omerta at the behest of their superiors.
Mxm!
