They are demanding a formal apology and compensation after claiming their lives were ruined as a result of being labeled with terms such as “backward,” “slow,” and “dunce” and sent to schools without a curriculum, exams, and the opportunity to gain qualifications.Members of the group sat they have struggled with a lack of self-worth and confidence as a result of these experiences in their formative years.
