The House of Representatives on Tuesday swore in its three newest members, all Democrats from Allegheny County, bringing the chamber to having 203 members for the first time since October and giving Democrats majority control for the first time in 12 years.

New Pa. House Democrat members sworn inThe three newest members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives were sworn in on Tuesday, bringing the chamber to its full 203-member complement and handing the Democrats majority control for the first time in 12 years.

Democrats Joseph McAndrew, Abigail Salisbury and Matthew Gergely, all from Allegheny County, took the oath of office administered by U.S. Middle District Magistrate Susan Schwab in a private ceremony and again, in a ceremonial swearing-in before the House chamber.
