A court on the Greek island of Lesbos has dropped espionage charges against volunteer aid worker Sean Binder and 23 others

A court on the Greek island of Lesbos has dropped espionage charges against volunteer aid worker Sean Binder, who grew up in Ireland, and 23 others, in a trial denounced by rights groups as a sham.

Mr Binder, who grew up in Co Kerry, and 23 others were being tried for misdemeanours in relation to people smuggling on the island of Lesbos. This morning, the prosecution acknowledged serious flaws in the charges against the 24 defendants and has recommended an annulment of the trial. This means that the charges will most likely run out of time under the statute of limitations and the defendants will not be charged again.

Nothing but a virtue signaling busybody.

Another rotten do gooder.

The same hero like those idots who put tomato souse over paintings.

Why is not giving his own house to african refuges?

How dare you, bring illegal trafficking into Greece and their communities ,You should be locked up by now 😠

Bit like that Egyptian lad that got a whole movement behind him here and it turned out he actually did fire stones just saying

He'd be better of getting A real job.

Prick and what’s it worth to him time for advisors

People like him are enemies of the indigenous people of Europe . He is a Traitor and should be treated as such .

Do Gooders, heaven save us from them. Ireland is full of do gooder engaged in ethnic replacement migration.

We don't believe you Sean. We know most NGOs who traffick migrants across the med are making hundreds of millions per year in fees and donations. Nearest safe port rule applies. All else is illegal

I wonder what the reaction of the people of Ireland would be if a Greek lad was helping to bring illegal migrants into Ireland by sea That lad conveniently leaves out that Greece was overrun by migrants and couldn't cope. What bull is he on about checking their passports first

Should be charged by the Irish DPP for making a fool of himself while abroad

Well done Greece's Courts !!

Pressure from the affluent members of the EU parliament among others who wholly are the only people who profit from mass immigration

SuzanneCurtin7 I would not be surprised if the Greek prosecutorial service is deeply corrupt and very badly politically infected.

katia0 'Part of that strategy involves extending an existing 40km wall on the Turkish border in the Evros region by 80km'...and pushbacks.

Good news. He should be rewarded for saving lives. Not punished.

Stay in Greece buddy. No need to come back to your comfy home in Ireland.

German government intervened to save one of their own natives.

They deserve a medal, not court.

If you could feel the pressure and intimidation that people, who are trying to help displaced people in Europe are getting from EU States it would deter most but the brave volunteers.

Straight back to MI6 with him now

Good!

Should of been given a medal not a court case in the 1st place!

Great news.

Humanitarian work is never illegal. Well done & solidarity to all involved. RefugeesWelcome

Don’t interfere with protection of other countries borders policies. Plenty migrants in Kerry. Help them by donating money

He did break the law, human trafficking and bringing people across borders. He's very lucky Bless his heart Everyone has good intentions in their own mind

He will now be on the Late Late Show denouncing the Greek Government and the current protests against unvetted illegal economic migrants!

Jail all involved and or facilitating people trafficking! Including the wef/irish state.

Great news. Well done the Sean and all of his supporters.

Things we love to see

He did the wrong thing by saving them.

Happy for him that he has evaded jail time. He got away with it. Good for him. Take the win. But not interested in hearing any speeches, lectures or public pronouncements from him regarding migration.

So he gets off on a technicality. notohumantrafficking

Shame, they can have him.

I'd say the locals on lesvos Island are gutted.justice has not been served

Money talks.

Plantationists pressured them.

Human trafficker

He can help all the illegals in Ireland now
