The issue is not about free speech and there’s no gov’t restriction against Peterson’s garbage. The issue is about an alleged violation of a professional code, somewhat similar to an employer, say the Sun, not allowing its writers to say what they really think about, say, the Sun
That’s some headline. To “defend” suggests Peterson is in the right to begin with. PP is supporting Peterson’s hate speech which is indefensible. Also, there is no such thing as a “right to free speech.” Canada’s constitution places “reasonable limits.” You can’t just say shit!

The government has not restricted his right to free expression. The provincial governing body has not restricted his right to free expression BUT they have the right to review his membership.
