Nottingham's Chanel Cresswell will star in Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama on Channel 4 this month, playing the role of Coleen Rooney. The film will detail Coleen's 2019 'sting' operation to find out who had been leaking stories from her private Instagram to The Sun, which turned out to be Rebekah Vardy's account.
Though born in Nottinghamshire, Cresswell grew up in Codnor, Derbyshire, and attended Aldercar Community Language College. She was just 15 and at the Nottingham Television Workshop when she landed her first acting role as Kelly Jenkins in This Is England, for which she won a BAFTA.Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama cast Cresswell - who has also starred in ITV series The Bay, Death in Paradise, Des, Dracula and Sky One sitcom Trollied - is joined in court by Dion Lloyd who plays Wayne Rooney.
