The Supreme Court hears a major election law case on Wednesday that began with North Carolina Republicans drawing a highly partisan redistricting map and could end with politicians winning unchecked power over federal elections.
Republicans argue these words show the Constitution gave the legislature the independent and exclusive authority for setting rules on casting and counting ballots as well as drawing election maps. That provision is not at issue in the North Carolina case, and all states by law choose their electors based on the popular vote.
I think we know how ClarenceThomas will vote on this. GinniThomas SCOTUS
In some Republican controlled states they have gotten away with this practice even though it is against the law. The GOP is trying to make this a legal act. It shame that conservative parties have to cheat to get people elected because the majority dislikes their polices.

Republicans are simply the enemies of democracy in the USA. Packed the court with people who perjured themselves, no rule of law.
That’s why the conservatives on the court are doing it tho. That’s the entire purpose. They’re pro-coup.
Their religious beliefs will tell them the GOP must rule.
