Florida Gators backup quarterback Jalen Kitna is expected in court Thursday morning after he was arrested on child pornography charges.on two charges of distribution of child exploitation material and three charges of possession of child pornography and is expected to appear in court on Thursday morning to hear the charges against him, the Gainesville Police Department said.
The five arresting charges, which still need to be formalized by the state attorney’s office, are second-degree felonies that could result in a prison term of up to 15 years and a fine of up to $10,000.Gainesville police announced the arrest in a news release and said the investigation was initiated when the department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Kitna’s electronic devices were seized as part of a search warrant. Preliminary analysis revealed three additional images of child sexual abuse, police said.
