The discussion is the first of several that will make up the policy phase of the inquiry, which will be used to draft recommendations to modernize the Emergencies Act

Jamie Cameron, a professor at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School, says there’s been very little discussion about the right to peaceful assembly at the Supreme Court, leaving the reasonable limits on that freedom a bit murky.

She says some people argue the line should only be drawn if a protest becomes violent, but others believe a protest can become disruptive enough that it is no longer peaceful. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act on Feb. 14 after thousands of protesters associated with the “Freedom Convoy” blockaded downtown Ottawa and key border crossings, causing weeks of disruptions to Canada’s trade corridors, businesses and residents in those communities.

As a fully vaccinated person, I can say there was not much then & now to suggest the vaccine worked. Protestors had a right to be heard! Their freedom to move & earn a living had been violated first. Every other violated right was a snowballing effect. Convoy Ottawa EA

So what is happening in China may be justified if the neighborhood feels inconvenienced and the government feels under threat? Because calls for resignation are a threat right?

Protests in Canada will never again be allowed to be effective. The only protests allowed will be on issues that don’t hurt the government or that the government supports. That will be the legacy of Trudeau’s use of the EA.

This judge is going to destroy a fundamental right to protest our government. This man is the guy who orders the Titanic to top speed. This man is going to set a standard to all future governments in political term oil. This man already called himself a marionette puppet.

Not with this commission. Already in the government pocket. Otherwise it would have been stopped until redactions were fixed. Very obvious that it was going through the motions and not after the truth.

The same cuckholds who were “ petrified” and scared of the unvaxxed are the same ones praising the Chinese protests right now.
