Photographs: Collins CourtsFive men who took part in the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in a car in the midlands have been jailed for a total of 66 years.
At the end of the night, she became separated from her friends and decided to try to walk to the home of another friend who lived nearby. She heard someone calling her name out from a passing car and wrongly concluded it was her friends driving back in to pick her up, so she got into the car. The court heard that before picking up the victim on the night in question, the car had driven 15 times around Tullamore town with the occupants shouting at people from open windows. The court heard one of the men had recognised the victim from social media, but none of the occupants in the car knew her personally and she knew none of them.
Ethan Nikolaou of Brosna Park, Kilbeggan was the last man to get back into the car. He sexually assaulted her after grinding naked against her. Justice Burns imposed a sentence of 15 years on Umbelino. She sentenced Ferreira Filho to an 18 year prison term.
Never is. In any of them!!! Those people are raised completely diffent than us. No respect for anyone of anything. Think they can do as they like over here. Ridiculous. Send them all home after their sentences!!!
Life sentences for each of them and let them rot inside what kind of justice system lets animals like this out after 20 years to live there life repeat the same crime dirty smelly individuals

She's 23 now yea? Lots of restrictions about this case. V like the rte one recently where the RED haired Irish speaking victim also has a case Infront of the wrc and claiming sexual assault by a presenter....who's now dead.

Import the 3rd world, become the 3rd world. With a bit of luck they’ll meet some justice inside, 17 years isn’t long enough, no doubt they’ll be entitled to release after 8 or shorter knowing this country

Good to see justice being done for once. I commend the brave young woman who came forward to ensure these degraded individuals faced the full rigours of the law.
