Five men who subjected a teenage girl to a violent and prolonged sexual attack in a car have been jailed for a combined 66 years.

A combined total of 66 years in prison has been handed down to five young men who subjected a teenage girl to a violent and prolonged sexual attack in a car.

Our Courts Correspondent Frank Greaney has the details of her attackers and the sentences they each received today.The driver, Marcos Vinicius De Silva Umbelino, of Riverview, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath was convicted of sexual assault and rape.Eduardo Dias Ferreira Filho, also of Riverview in Kilbeggan, was jailed for 17 years. He was also convicted of sexual assault and rape as well as a false imprisonment.

Rape a teen get 13. Absolute disgrace, the girl will have to live with that trauma all her life & these guys will be out in about 10 years. Still young & powerful enough to keep abusing & raping.

Whilst I might feel happy these 'people' have been appropriately punished. Nevertheless I hope they have the opportunity to attend a proper therapeutic programme in prison. Otherwise why bother.

Should be deported to after there time in jail
