The Crown and defence will make closing submissions in the sexual assault trial of Hedley frontman Jacob Hoggard Friday.
He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of sexual assault causing bodily harm and one charge of sexual touching of a person under the age of 16. Hoggard, 37, is accused of violently and repeatedly raping a 16-year-old fan and an Ottawa woman in Toronto-area hotel rooms. Both incidents allegedly took place in the fall of 2016. He has testified that he had consensual sex with both complainants.
