Arizona Supreme Court declines to consider request by the Arizona Republican Party to eliminate early voting system used by 90% of the state’s voters.

The court ruled that the case did not meet the limited criteria for a lawsuit filed directly to the state’s high court but saidThe lawsuit filed in February argued absentee voting is unconstitutional and asked the justices to get rid of it or at least eliminate the no-excuse absentee balloting system Arizona adopted in 1991 and has steadily expanded ever since.

It was not immediately clear if the GOP would file the case in Superior Court. Spokespeople for the Arizona Republican Party and Alex Kolodin, the conservative lawyer whose firm filed the lawsuit, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The GOP did not challenge absentee voting for members of the military, which the state is required to allow by federal law.

Still pushing The Big Lie.

It seems the only way Republicans can win is by cheating, lying , changing rules, laws to their favor. Don't they have any conviction in what they believe? Or is what they believe in is cheating, lying or favoritism. Hmmmm

I’m an above average voter, I vote even in non presidential elections for over 30yrs now. This last presidential election I did early voting for first time and I truly enjoyed it. I even went to polls to drop off ballot. So glad AZsupCourt rejected this. Keep it!

Republicans want to make voting as difficult as possible. They are thee unAmerican party.

Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) announcing they will vote yes I don’t and won’t read your publication because of stories like this, just the headline was enough. We call it bipartisan. Not somewhat. It is or it isn’t, . This is why people can’t stand your bias. Somewhat? Do better.
