As politicking for the 2023 general election hits up, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has hinted that all

necessary measures to delete the controversial section 84 of the electoral act 2022 is being worked on with the relevant agencies.

State House Correspondents asked Malami to give an update on the implementation of the ruling by a federal high court in Umuahia, that ordered the attorney-general of the federation to delete section 84 of the amended electoral act, to which he responded, “the process is still on”. “Whether it has been deleted, or has not been deleted, is indeed a function of agencies of government and associated, relevant parastatals.
