We tend to vilify those who need abortion care and victimize those who need miscarriage care. In reality, the people experiencing abortions and miscarriages are within the same community or they are even the same person.

March 18 will be a regular Friday for most Americans. But for the thousands of medical students across the United States, the stakes could not be higher. For us, the past 20 years of education have culminated in, the day in which graduating medical students discover where they will continue their medical training in their chosen specialties.

This uncertain political landscape surrounding reproductive rights will affect the quality of our training and the care that we can provide for our future patients. Our patient was devastated by the news. While we helped grieve with her, we were able to offer her all of the appropriate medical options. She was able to make the decision that was right for her at the time. When her pain worsened, and she wanted a different treatment option, we had the training and ability to take care of her as soon as possible.
