Since HB 312 forbids Alabama teachers from teaching courses of instruction that “direct” or “compel” students to adhere to or to “affirm” certain concepts about race, gender, or religion, could you specify where in public schools or universities such “compulsion” has occurred?
Or, is the “compulsion” simply the misplaced passion which Alabama political demagogues masquerading as statesmen experience when launching reelection campaigns? By the way, if Alabama citizens want to send their children to state universities that remain accredited, they might consider sending them out-of-state should such ignorance be installed into law because I am reasonably certain that formal action to withdraw academic accreditation from Alabama state universities is lurking in the shadows of HB 312.

I just had a western civilization class last semester. The instructor taught us history and it just so happens that the Bible is recorded history. We studied Hitler and touched on race. We covered from 5000BC-January 6, 2021 with NO biases or prejudice. We covered FACTS!
Ok… so what?
Shouldn’t be teaching about race, gender and religion to 1st graders. Woke at its best.
Dont you think that should be for parents at that age instead of a school teacher that may be only 25 with no kids. Pretty dang simple concept.
He’s a history teacher…. Not sure he’s that qualified
How about putting Civics in the jr. high and high school classroom and let first graders be first graders.
Thank you for speaking up, Dr. Flint!
Here’s a crazy idea..let’s replace teaching about race, gender and religion with taxes, buying a home & compounding interest.
Most “teachers” can barely spell and are also drug addicts.
