Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said the Coalition can “deal with” internal conflict after five Senators crossed the floor to vote in favour of One Nation’s bill to ban mandatory vaccines.

Senators Gerard Rennick, Alex Antic, Matt Canavan, Concetta Fierravanti-Wells and Sam McMahon were the Coalition members to cross the floor.

They have pushed for Mr Morrison to address “overreach” from state leaders in relation to vaccine mandates. “We don't run it as an autocracy. We don't kick people out of the party if we from time to time have different ideas. Mr Morrison said his government would have no issues with internal disagreements within the Coalition.

The One Nation leader has opted to remain unvaccinated and has also threatened to cause issues for the Morrison government’s new religious freedom laws and election reforms.
