The judgment was passed down by the Constitutional Court and read on behalf of the majority by justice Sisi Khampepe. applied to the Constitutional Court for Zuma to be imprisoned for two years for breaching the court's order to obey summonses that he appear before the commission to testify.
I5 months you called a harsh sentence? Come on goba letshalete keletsaka
Justice served
It's not what we wanted as a nation, but we expected it this way. We didn't wish for anyone to be jailed, once the law is broken and proven, likewise, we expect not less than justice in SA. We are equal before the law. Message sent and delivered. We are not chameleons in justice
They should have made it 10 years and he is getting parole but then would have at least serve the 15 months we getting now when he will be released early.
I was surprised by the split vote. I don't like such judgements.
Justice will be served if this is just the entree.
Best day for many years....put away the rugby, soccer etc cannot wait for the Idiots Carl Niehaus and Edward Zuma to eat their words or try protect the former Chief Thief !
Tears grips my heart knowing how hard I’ve struggled to find a legit trader.I never wanted to do this but I’ll be guilty if I don’t share this good news to people sharon_trad is the best trader so far Thanks for helping me and i will forever be grateful to you sharon_trad
The only reason he got a sentenced is because no law enforcement agency was involved. The case went from Zondo to court. Justice will only be served if he actually goes to prison.
It is a senseless judgement.
Justice served.
I don't kheredem! These scoundrels have received too much attention already. He goes, he doesn't go, it doesn't change the price at which I buy my bread. My primary concern right now is my business and arrival of vaccines!
NOTHING! SERVED.
Justice served
Nooooo!
No, where is 2yrs, Zondo said 2yrs. 😟
ask the 500 billion looters, why did moegoeng excused himself do you wanna ask him perhaps, or maybe why did fw deklerk go away.
Let him rot in jail.
Had it been the man on the street they wud hv thrown away the key. So to sit 15 months and still have it millions i dont think it will bother this stubborn old man
. This was a poor decision, Iam not happy.
Umsunu
Too learnt
Preposterous to say the least, why should taxpayers maintain JZ for 15 months? The current offence contempt of summons happens far regular in all courts, often transgressors get away with a warning or a fine, & this is no different. Suspicion of judicial BIAS MAY gain momentum
Too short. Shudda been 2 years.
This one needed to be put on his place and he got exactly what he deserves. Tail between the legs.
ANC leaders are fine like that, they failed to jail or arrest at least one apartheid leaders those killed our parents.
I hope he gets a life sentence for what he did to SA.
Kak ruling
Should've done this a long time ago
It's too lenient
If you are serious about democracy you can never ask such question; a leader must build people's confidence in their laws as opposed to being defience towards the same laws by which they are appointed. It is never about the number of days or years of sentence but this is justice.
Ask the Chief Justice
Justice prevailed
Was it done to satisfy me or to do what the law has to do?
Prolly going to be remanded to House arrest. Will plead Shabby Shaikes disease.
courts need to be respected, yes let him be a example
