The nation is not divided. You at the El Segundo Times slant the news and want to make an issue.

JennyJarvie Wow. It has been quite some time since I've read a news article, about any topic, that's well written & simply shares facts with a variety of perspectives, encouraging the reader to think, not telling the reader what to think. Thank you JennyJarvie

I tend to look at the positives. Culture and class pro or con Growth is occurring. Peace. Try it.

I’ve never been as angry as I was watching that hearing in my entire life. I was so mad I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. GOP has no idea how bad Nov is going to be for them. I’ve always voted in POTUS elections but never midterms. I’m registered for these midterms.

I think if I was interviewing him, I would be concerned about Dr. Ford's testimony. Also his drinking. He didn't seem to know the blood alcohol limit. I look for experience & character to determine if good for the job.

THE OPPOSITION TO KAVANAUGH BRINGS ALLEGATIONS, ALLEGATIONS, ALLEGATIONS, ALLEGATIONS!

More separated than ever! My only hope was for millennial interviewed after the Hearing

So the assumption is that we were supposed to all find common ground and basically believe and agree that 35 years ago a sexual assault was committed at some party somewhere, and now it just so happens to be revealed at this exact moment in time? Yea...sure.

Hell nah, just makes me angry thinking about the fact that they will pass him on thru. We still have one of the biggest leches around, sitting in one of the most powerful positions in the world! Folks knew about him & still put him in office. Just shameful.

It wasn't meant to. And while Kavanaugh and the Republicans deserve brickbats we might do well to remember Sen Feinstein set the whole shit fight up to prosecute her agenda which may not have helping the victims of alleged sexual assault as its first priority

Not from the way you negatively reported it

Never trust Whitey

Yeah, some people are funny about thinking that attempted rape should have consequences. We're kinda stubborn that way

It’s the division of party lines. People have been polarized across the right from wrong boundary.

I'm not going to 'agree' with or go along with people who want to restrict my personal freedoms, or impose their draconian economic, religious, and paternalistic oversight on me. I will RESIST, and VOTE and shun them.

I guess there’s something about sexual assault that’s not open for debate and that a guy who did it and behaves like kavanaugh shouldn’t be on the highest court for a lifetime appointment and if you don’t see that your part of the problem

The reason we have discourse is that everytime Republicans are taken to task for being insensitive to sexual assault victims Republicans engage in their pathetic whataboutisms such as "what about Juanita Brodderick/Clinton?" Sadly, whataboutisms is a powerful, yet, stupid weapon.

If want to be a judge in the US you must take a deal with media owners or it could be ilan impossible task. It's a wide road for corruption, because no one will be punished if Americans were fooled by press = bereft of voting rights.

Something which never came about when establishment politicians became president. This is all confected.

Inevitably what has come to light is the truth that the gloves have come off and the facade of passive aggressive behavior many people displayed is no longer palpable. We are seeing people for who they really are, and the truth is quite ugly.

we've lost due process

Only half the country, the trump deranged, are unable to disagree without being disagreeable. Or worse. The rest of us are highly entertained by their mental pathology. LiberalTears

You have lost the capacity to distinguish good from bad

Maybe it’s time for a divorce.

NO WE HAVEN'T!!!!!

I blame the media, you caused this it’s all in you

Here is what Think Progress thinks is acceptable when they lose an election. Media is complicit and even cheers on this behavior from the left.

It’s hard not to lose it when someone denies facts in the face of evidence. If everything is opinion and facts don’t matter communication is pointless. We’re literally speaking different languages.

Thanks Obama

Blame California senator SenFeinstein for weaponizing Ford's letter.

No. Not we. It is the Left that has become a vitriolic bastion of unreasoned hate and anger

how can anyone want someone like him on the highest court of the land? For life!!

Thanks media.

Democrats are disgusting and despicable people willing to ruin a good man's career and life over unproveable allegations in return for political power. I have never seen this kind of evil before in politics.

It is very sickening what America has become: hostile towards disagreeing opinions. It's like the days of civil discussion to reach a common understanding are long gone. 😕

Putting a rapist on the Supreme Court is not a simple "disagreement".

Blame McConnell n Newt

A nation divided over Kavanaugh: 'We have lost the ability to disagree without being disagreeable' - Los Angeles TimesAmericans reflected Friday on what they had witnessed the day before: the extraordinary spectacle of Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which went on to vote to send Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate. "Sexual misconduct shouldn't get in the way of a man's career." That's the old standard. But yeah--it should. If you're going to pretend to standards of integrity and character, you have to show it in your treatment of women, as well. *her truth* This is my problem, we don’t know if it’s true. Half the people don’t remember the other half say it didn’t happen. This type of framing is just an emotional appeal and is all complete bullshit.
