PM reveals 16 targets in reset to failed Closing the Gap plan

All Australian governments have committed to 16 targets to tackle Indigenous disadvantage, after the previous Closing the Gap scheme largely failed in its aims, year after year.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said there had been a failure to partner with Indigenous people to develop and deliver the 2008 targets. The new agreement also includes new accountability mechanisms to keep governments on track, and a commitment to address structural racism in mainstream government organisations.

How long have the LNP been in power and failing Indigenous Australians? So here is a new target announced that none of the current leadership team will be around for if it fails, again. I hope they smash the target. I doubt they will give it the effort and energy it needs.

We must reduce the gap with aboriginal guys and eliminate all of their privileges. Working hard aussie workers deserve an equal treatment. This is extremelly racist. Aboriginals are allways first in the cue, first for jobs, for governemnt support, etc etc. No more gaps.!
