Justice Clarence Thomas said Roe v. Wade, which paved the way for legalized abortion in the US, is 'without a shred of support' from the Constitution. This came in a fiery dissent to a court decision that blocked a controversial Louisiana abortion law.

Washington Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said the landmark Roe v. Wade case that paved the way for legalized abortion in the US is "without a shred of support" from the Constitution.

The comment came in a fiery dissent to a court decision that blocked a controversial Louisiana abortion law that critics said would have closed nearly every clinic in the state. In his stinging dissent, the conservative justice wrote that Roe v. Wade"created the right to abortion out of whole cloth, without a shred of support from the Constitution's text.""Our abortion precedents are grievously wrong and should be overruled," Thomas writes.

Hmm really the reproductive rights of women are not protected by the constitution. The rifmghtbof s women to have control of her body. Mr Thomas your an old man, that has no right arguing women’s rights. Your a dinosaur.

If you aren’t a woman, then you have no say in what they can or can’t do with their body. Period.

He’s useless...

Justice Thomas should remain silent like he has been doing for the last 25+ years. He is not qualified to be a Supreme Court justice and is only collecting a paycheck. He is no Thurgood Marshall.

Why do a bunch of old men get to decide if a woman is allowed abortions?

Do you need promotion? YouTube? Spotify? Facebook? SoundCloud? All social media. Do you need YouTube SEO Let me know if you have further question?

And what a cantankerous old git he is.

Oh and he is so perfect to talk about women’s rights

Screw him

Citizens United doesn't have a shred of support from the Constitution either. He voted for that.

isnt he the one who got away w/sex discrimination? law was made, law was passed, majority of people support the law. its so simple--if you dont believe in it--DONT DO IT but Leave ME ALONE

Justice Clarence Thomas is clearly misogynistic. If he truly even liked women he wouldn't try to take away their rights to their own bodies. Women are NOT 2nd class citizens!

Thomas should ask himself how his ancestors felt about not having the freedom of their bodies. A woman's decision about what happens to her body is the same. Slavery is slavery no matter the color of the skin. Thomas needs to go.

Thomas should resign early next year.

He's right.

Get some reliable man birth control and this wouldn’t be an issue anymore. (I know condom are useful but let’s be honest they suck and a pill would be so much more convenient)

He ain't black

His decisions and thoughts are mostly of his wife and not his.

It would be interesting for Justice Thomas to read that the original US Constitution said about African Americans

I say the next time Thomas gets pregnant he can explain to us what the men that wrote the constitution thought of a woman’s right to choose. Until then, worry about your own body.

Justice Thomas is right! I’ve taught the Constitution for years!

It also doesn’t support the government ordering a woman to make a decision she does or doesn’t want to make

The constitution was also written when women weren’t allowed to vote and Black people were owned as slaves. Other countries revisit their constitution regularly and amend as people have evolved. The constitution is not the bible. Let’s not treat it like a sacred text.

This man is a fool. He is a conservative activist masquerading as a judge. This was set in law before this old man was there and he was only appointed and confirmed by the radical right when this slow moving red GOP coup started. Ask this fool what hair was on his soda can?

How loud would we have to yell so he can hear us all the way back in 1840? He is a rapist and a fool.

100% correct! Millions of future Americans have been killed unconstitutionally - the worst injustice in the American history.

He's an old man that needs to step aside!

The biggest judicial embarrassment of my generation. Driven by pure ideology not law.
