REMBAU: An Indonesian man, 20, was charged at the Magistrate's Court here with the murder of three of his countrymen at a kongsi here.

No plea was recorded from Mohamad Razak Nor who was charged with killing Hari Sucipto, 19, and Ramdani Sahrul and Gunawan Pani, both 20.

He nodded when asked by the interpreter if he understood the charges, as well as the penalty if found guilty. Mohamad Razak was accused of committing the offences at Ladang Chin Fatt in Gemencheh near between 10.40pm and 11pm on Dec 5 last year. He was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.Magistrate Tan Chai Wei fixed July 23 for re-mention.

According to earlier media reports, a police team was sent to the plantation after being notified of a fight.Police also found a blood-stained sickle and a knife at the crime scene.
