Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Mukhriz Mahathir and Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman are among the 5 seeking the injunction over their membership in PPBM.

Mahathir, Mukhriz Mukhriz, former ministers Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and Maszlee Malik, along with deputy minister Amiruddin Hamzah and Marzuki Yahya, filed a lawsuit this week, seeking to nullify PPBM’s decision to terminate their membership. “There are certain prayers in our application, where we want to maintain the status quo of all parties and PPBM until disposal of trial,” he said.

They added it was wrong to invoke two articles in PPBM’s constitution against them as the articles only said members who join another political party or resign from PPBM will have their memberships ended
