Anthony Okolie was arrested on July 22 and detained by the DSS for a period of 10 weeks for using an MTN sim card previously used by Hanan Buhari.

A federal high court in Asaba, Delta State on Thursday ordered the Department of State Service to pay N10 million in compensation for violation of human rights of one Anthony Okolie.

“Okolie lawfully bought the sim card after years of redundancy unknown to him who the previous owner was.” In the lawsuit, Okolie demanded a N500m compensation and public apology for the violation of his fundamental human rights from DSS, MTN and Hannan. However, the judge Justice Dimgba on Thursday awarded the sum of N10 million against DSS for the abuse of Okolie’s fundamental human rights.

Nice one

This was one of those shameless moves of the DSS. When it's almost a global practise for lines to be reallocated once they are dormant for a certain period of time. And to know that this innocent guy spent 10 weeks in cell for committing no crime is an indictment on MBuhari

Possibly, he is in love with Hanan, but what if Buhari will not let that happen.

I'll wait for his tenure to be over and then sue her and her father. Nonsense

Good judgement at last. The will shows that irrespective of the odds that judiciary system still upload the law.
