Georgia's attorney general is asking state law officers for an investigation into possible misconduct by local prosecutors in the killing of a black man who was chased by a white father and son.

REMOVES “UNARMED” AND ADDS THAT AUTHORITIES HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THAT ARBERY WAS EITHER ARMED OR UNARMED - People react during a rally to protest the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery, Friday, May 8, 2020, in Brunswick Ga. Two men have been charged with murder in the February shooting death of Arbery, a black man in his mid-20s, whom they had pursued in a truck after spotting him running in their neighborhood.

Carr also appointed a black district attorney from suburban Atlanta on Monday to take over the case, making her the fourth prosecutor in charge of a case that’s prompted a national outcry over suspicions that race played a role in delaying arrests. “District Attorney Holmes is a respected attorney with experience, both as a lawyer and a judge,” Carr, a Republican, said in a statement. “And the Cobb County District Attorney’s office has the resources, personnel and experience to lead this prosecution and ensure justice is done.”

The McMichaels weren’t arrested until after the video became public and the GBI was asked to look into the killing. Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, have been jailed since Thursday. Neither man had lawyers at their first court appearances on Friday, done by video link from the Glynn County jail.

In his letter to the GBI requesting the probe of the first two prosecutors, Carr said his office was in the dark about actions taken by Barnhill before he was removed from the case. “Unknown and undisclosed to the Attorney General,” it says, Barnhill told Glynn County Police that he didn’t see grounds for any arrests.

This gentleman has a very level headed response. Please watch...

AhmaudAubrey Was a thief snooping around houses in the neighbourhood - This doesn’t merit his death sentence, BUT it does merit the two men trying to detain him. He was indeed a thief, joggers don’t jog into homes under construction and snoop around.

I hope some folks get in trouble deep!

imagine if the AP covered the homicides in Chicago this way... wait nvm.

I do not know what happened, but if anyone refers to him as a jogger is plainly lying at this point. We have the 20 minutes before he was killed on 2 different videos and he was not jogging anywhere.

They shirked their oath to uphold the law-- disbarment.

AP NEWS IS FAKE NEWS!

You forgot to mention who did the killing.

Wow. That’s exactly what I’ve been saying. Now let’s do he rest of America.

Hopefully they will consider that the 'black man' was arrested for bringing a gun to his high school when he was 19 and then again for shoplifting in 2018; the media should be asking if anyone has seen him jogging before, along this same route.

keep in mind, the only reason they were arrested was to keep them safe

Этому можно верить?

Sure! Investigation! *wink wink

A burglar attacked a guy with a gun and got shot. The idea that it could be misconduct to decline to press charges in these circumstances is asinine

It’s a shame they can’t just ignore the outrage mob so those two would actually go to prison for what they did

And how many more that he killed, if is one can be more

About time

I just looked into the case. There was misconduct.

just a jogga
